What about downstream? Seems like all of BHI downstream chemicals are not compatible with GE.

Petrolite or Upstream Chemicals is only PL keeping this ship afloat. Get a clue.

If it wasn't for Petrolite you Baker IDIOTS would have been standing on a street corner with a tin cup holding a sign begging for money many months ago! You bunch of worthless IDIOTS!!!!!

GE at one time produced resins for the plastics industry at its plant in Selkirk, N.Y. They sold the business and walked away from low margin chemical production. No way in hell will they keep Petrolite loss leaders.

GE might actually know what to do with Petrolite, unlike BHI.

Only time will tell. Is everyone reading this Reverse Morris Trust scenario from the financial pundits? If it comes to pass, it seems clear BHI management will take their large sacks of cash and be shown the door whether the new company continues to be owned by GE and BHI shareholders or whether it gets spun off into an independent company.
