Go young go cheap! Perfect motto. In Tennessee the turnover for Rockwell SE's is crazy. Most customer see their SE 3 to 4 times and it's time for the channel to introduce a new one.
The experience deficient personnel are little to no help, often times they are actually negative in their impact. Not they they are bad people or employees, they have been fed 8 million power point slides that are typically truthful on what they tell. They just don't tell the rest of the story. They are like politicians that have one speech they tell over and over.
If you happen to get a good one, they will Ben promoted every 2 years......please somebody explain to me how you can master a position in 2 years?
Experienced employees are only negative (tell the truth and explain reality of what changes really need to be made)
Look at power and control sales and margin if you want to see the real health of the company. For a few years, sales was declining.....and margin significantly increasing ( read no Development $ being spent) internal cost of products is skewed by mixing services group in hardware, raising total overhead burden.
Now sales in power and control are decreasing and margin is decreasing also.
Guess how they might have avoided this.........it was those crusty old bastards that were always negative! There is an upside to the story......there is another big building in town that makes drives and hires old guy, there is another in Menominee falls that's hiring and growing and one in loves park.
To the bean counters at the top of the heap at Rockwell, enjoy your multimillion dollar stock options, you didn't get there by being honest or fair. You rationalized.......it's not personal its business. That's b---s---, when we worked 50 and 60 hours a week because you screwed up the schedule....it wasn't business it was personal, I missed time with my kids because it was business. I was happy at the time to so it.....this was a long term company a career to be proud of. You low life bastards cut 400 here 300 there....the stock went up.....you pit a million in your pocket......a REAL leader would have innovated to make us more profitable, would have listened to what we could do. So as we have been cut......and move onto competitors, believe me, its personal......and I will take your business. I know your weak points, where the weaknesses are. But don't be upset.......it's just business.
I honestly believe that hell and its eternal fire will be divided into segments, the massive room to the right will be the VIP lounge!
Executives will be standing on there tip toes in burning human waste up to their bottom lip, begging for a drink. Three times a day there will boats full of engineers and "worker bees" that will drive around and pee in their mouths. It will be called "profit sharing" or team exercises. As you look up at the ceiling there will be a screen bigger than you have ever seen, it will Be playing an endless loop of the employee org chart with senseless babbling and the word functionality used 3 times in every sentence. Along with total life cycle costs, total costs of ownership, silos, optics, synergy and cranial rectal impaction.
