I remember management telling us we had to have a can do attitude. Can do what with software that is broken and you are unwilling to fix it when we tell you you can fix it but your can do attitude does not want to.

p.s. director of QA stated....... you can do......

what she meant was you can do nothing when we put a stop to you reporting problems

I left McKesson about 8 years ago because my manager used the same line with me then when I said the team was struggling.

I had the same experience, only earlier this year, when some new girl was taking over my team (I've since left). She asked me about the morale and I told her my team was working too hard to be sustainable and happy, one person in particular. She said, 'well that's their choice'. Since then, I'm gone, 80% of my team's gone, and that one person is saying sayonara! New nanager, good luck kiddo. You have no clue what it takes to manage human beings.
