As a former employee that was offered package to leave Intel. They gave everyone option to either keep Cobra insurance for 12 months or only 6 mos with a $9k payout. I choose the 12 months coverage. Emailed them, received confirmation. It was taken care of, SO I thought. During the month of August, Intel inadvertently paid me the $9k. I wasn't sure what the money was coming from, but I just resided to the fact I would have to deal with costs out of pocket. Low and behold last week, i received an email stating they caught their mistake ( over 2.5 months later ) and are stating I will need to payback around $8k. All I want to say is WTF INTEL. , I washed my hands of you. Your mistakes affect people's lives a$$Holes.
Has anyone experienced the same ordeal?
