Thread regarding CSC layoffs

Rifs are coming

Hearing the next round of Rifs will be November 4th. CSC's way of saying Happy Holidays. I have not heard a number to be cut this time.

November 16, 2016 was the big one! I was part of it. No notice and all I got was 2 weeks pay for severance! Now I try to get a new job with Nubelity and they come back to say that since I had CSC on my resume, I have to wait at least a year before I can work for them! Same thing happened with a contract position with HPE!

I never got a raise or my yearly bonus in 2016, BUT they did send 25 people to Monaco for "Club", which probably cost them $5 million or so. Nevermind the fact that most of those deals those 25 people sold never made a decent profit!

Management at CSC came from IBM and they have the same mindset when it comes to employees. Stay away from CSC or wherever it is going to be called in 2017.

Only clue so far was on the HPE/CSC merger call yesterday. Lawrie was asked about head count and he indicated the there would be a stand-alone action within CSC prior to the end of this year.

What's the use in reporting a rumor , if you have some facts then tell us. Anyone can say there are layoffs coming for any month and you would see some anyway. Tired of the people who post on this site with no real information or facts,

That is correct...1st big wave will start 1st week of November, and I wouldn't be surprised for more waves to follow till the merge is complete. I've also been hearing no severance packages will be given, not surprised again. Also, expect at least 50% of employees that are considered overhead to be part of the layoffs.
