Here is a thought: fill in a voluntary redundancy form and then find yourself a job that is better

Here is a thought. If you don't like how the company is run or the conditions, fill in a voluntary redundancy form and then find yourself a job that is better than the one you currently have.

In reality what you will find is a minimum wage job working 45 hrs a week also working bell to bell and the minute you open your mouth to complain you get marched out the door and replaced by someone else.

If more workers actually worked instead of sitting in the tea room or smoking 40 cigs a day outside complaining that they have been asked to finish a 9hr job in 8hrs then maybe, just maybe the company wouldn't be in the position it is now.

But then again its not their fault the place is going the same way as the shipyard as they were also there when it went down the toilet and management there were the problem also. Its always someone elses fault. Oh and before you go off on one, im shopfloor, just fed up with underperformers moaning instead of doing the job they are paid to do.

I asked and got a package two years ago, best thing ever you don't realize how toxic the environment is untill you have left.

Give me strength lol, this company wasted over $1bn on nothing more than a whim with a learjet nobody wanted or needed. It built Global whitetails in hope rather than actual sales which lead to a schedule decimation and expenditure outgoings that crippled cashflow. The C Series is a super plane but over engineering has added hundreds of millions to its cost. Now tell me how working an hour quicker or smoking less can save a job when the ppl who we are training to take our work are on $60 a week? You're not a shopfloor operative in any way shape or form, lets get real here, this company over the next 3-5 years will employ around 1000 unless the British government place severe sanctions on them which wont happen as they're gutless, I dont want taxpayers money given to them to bail them out anyhow as its only prolonging the conclusion staring you in the face, its over. I agree though that ppl should get their redundency before that too is a thing of the past and you get stuck with a basic government redundency that would barely cover a couple of months mortgage payments. Senior figures are fully to blame for this not the shopfloor staff, poor execution, lack of financial discipline, amatuer business decisions and dont forget massive unsubstantiated ego and arrogance! trying to muscle in on 2 global giants turf thinking they would roll over and let them tickle their belly, thats not how it works and even a GCSE business student could have told you that even in these educationally devalued times.
