Thread regarding CSC layoffs

Love the freedom of remote work but raises are non-existent. Despite excellent feedback performance reviews are deliberately set to neutral.

KRA's are a joke! Training is there but on your own time, I work too much already and have no time to be sitting at a computer at night when I should be with my family.

Resource management is a joke, pulling everyone every which way.

It's hard but it's a job and there isn't too many out there, so I stick with it

Have a good relationship with my line manager, but that has no bearing on the outcome of performance reviews. The grades awarded by your manager are over ruled by a callibration process. Most of the team didn't bother this year. The outcome is inevitable.

There have been NO pay raises greater than inflation in the past decade despite scoring very highly on the performance ratings. Annual assessments are a total waste of time and effort. Meaningless. They make you redundant regardless of performance.

Same here. Seen him for the first (and probably the last) time, lives time zone away.

Not only that, reviews are done by a manager who has no idea what kind of work you've done or are doing. The only time I've ever spoken to the manager who writes my performance review is during review time. He lives two time zones away and has never been involved in our project, other than to write performance reviews and make sure we write our KRAs each year.
