Keep an eye out for job postings at Cameron and Cactus! Know a lot of people who went to work at each place, and their upper management isn't hiding the fact that laid off FMC employees are welcome there if/when they have openings! Seems the competition cares more about FMC employees, than FMC does!!!

The new regime is too embarrassed to rehire most of the laid off employees, because that would mean that they made an immoral choice when the seasoned employees were let go, what manager wants subordinate people sharper and more talented than themselves in product knowledge and experience and lastly, if the experienced employees were hired back, the new team would have to face the old teams laughter for all the new business critical improvements which happened in the last 6 months while the seasoned employees were thrown out with the trash........just saying

Continue to hire new people in Erie after letting everyone that had years of dedication and experience go. Imagine that .... Maybe send them your resume ....

And".............WHO is in charge of quality? The Quality Dept. is now the biggest dept. that we have and no one even knows what to look for?? IQ is all we hear and why isn't it improving? Because they have laid off everyone that knew anything and all these new people don't know and don't care.

If the gears shop will be now used for rework I personally don't think the size needs to be reduced. I'm from services and we see too many crap and quality escapes being sent to us from gears. They will keep the "rework" shop busy.

Should be interesting! At this point I think that people are just tired of it all and everyone is ready to just get it over with!

Yes it starts the week of the 3rd. Gonna be the BIG one to narrow the plant down to the bare bones.. Should see a lot of manufacturing hit this time as they are going to a rework cell only for 17. Word is the plant will be 1/3 the current size when everything settles.
