"All Kmarts are closing the beginning of the year. And little known is that many more are closing BEFORE the New Year. The are quickly emptying out the DCs and force shipping this stuff to the closing stores as we speak. The end of Kmart is fast approaching."

Do you know this for a fact or is this your speculation? Can you disclose how you know this information, even vaguely? Are you an employee? A former employee? Are you in top management?

If you work full time at Kmart, you will have more hours very soon. During liquidation, there is unlimited hour. Then after that you will have 0 per week (with the way they treat employees, that might not be a bad thing). All Kmarts are closing the beginning of the year. And little known is that many more are closing BEFORE the New Year. The are quickly emptying out the DCs and force shipping this stuff to the closing stores as we speak. The end of Kmart is fast approaching.

It's a company wide policy. Full time has been 30 for a few years now they want to enforce it at store level.

have not been told this. even if we are scheduled less than full time we are so short of help that we can work our hours in an old, leased store. I hope everybody is making it as best we can. I'm Kmart seeing the end coming up fast. freight is overwhelming ! new workers last a week. us old timers are OLD but we keep it going. I think we are being buried by stock from stores that closed. I just look forward to an end to a long , hot summer (want to see some good! actors? watch The Long Hot Summer with Paul Newman) and I really won't worry over it after that. What good would it do to try and save our store?
