Do you think that they will go after Columbia staff? In the next round of layoffs? Anyone?

CPG Project controls department in both Houston and West Virginia is the worst I've ever seen. Management is ineffective and they don't work most of the time. It's no wonder they kept anyone from CPG pc.
I don't understand? IF spinning CPG off was going to help NiSource stock by eliminating liability and risk (PG&E $1.5 billion fine for San Bruno explosion. PG&E found criminally guilty in trial last month). How can acquiring CPG help TC stock? Are they going to turn it into an Oil pipeline? I know they have filed a $15 billion suit against the U.S. Government for canceling XL pipeline but that will take years if not a decade to settle. Stock has moved up a little over the past five years but seems like a lot of debt and risk. I thought U.S. oil consumption was trending downward.
Any project controls or engineering in the Houston office. How many.
Really crappie the way they ate handling this. Just show up and pluck you in the office and fire you. Your services are no longer needed and some of these folks have over 20 years in. Sad really.
While the rest of the employees sit and wait and worry.
They let many of the administrative staff folks go in Ohio yesterday as well as some engineering and project controls.
Were the IT staff originally from Columbia, or were they from the Calgary head office? Thanks
I feel sorry for Columbia personnel. Transcanada will eliminate staff and run their assets and facilities in the ground hy making a huge profit
Yes. They fired a large number of IT people today, and more people will be let go the next two days. Greedy bastards. I hope the company fails and the leadership has to lose their jobs as well.
