Nope, it's a great Monday with horizon wide open with possibilities. Life is short, thank goodness this criminal empire has toppled.

All the years I was a rep I never once twisted an arm. My students knew the cost and debt they were signing up for. They picked a program and that's that. I worked under the old CEO and KM and I can say things started to go down hill when KM took the helm. Way to much good old boy stuff going on. I know of a Distinct manager that left the NW District because he was tired of the unreal expectations put on the campuses by HQ. Right before ITT went under I'm sure the reps noticed the unreal expectations for new student goals, we would have all failed to meet our goals for 16/17 anyway. Just wish I could have made it to 591/2 for 401k purposes . Best of luck to everyone, students and employees both.
I disagree with the ITT apologists here. As a LONG TIME employ that abandoned ship when the good ship ITT hit the iceberg, I can honestly say that I felt ICKY about everything that was going on at ITT after Rene Champagne left in 2005ish. Between the exorbitantly high prices, the lackluster reputation, and the substandard curriculum, I felt that what we were doing was wrong. Matter of fact, it left me sick and depressed. That whole, "We are helping people make better futures for their familys" became utter bullshit. The cost of the education vs. the ROI in the vast majority of cases was just not worth it, ESPECIALLY for those that were burdened with student loans without a degree. ITT was predatory. ITT produced a substandard product. ITT abused their employees. ITT lied. ITT cheated. ITT lost.
So do you former reps really think your logic holds water here?
Those of you who defend selling an extremely overpriced education to students, because it was their choice to sign on the line?
Yet you then complain about the unfair job demands Modany made on you, because you had no choice? Seriously? No one made you sign up for a rep job either! It was your choice! Think you were misled by job description? Like maybe you didn't get what you signed p for?
Seems like students and reps signed up for something they didn't like after all, due to Modany's poor business model. So why shouldn't students dump on the reps, just like reps dump on corporate? Everyone has valid reasons for being pissed and frustrated.
"Enough"?
Who are you, the Layoff forum censor?
Never enough! Not while there are still former employees proclaiming they are innocent lambs.
No, I am not saying you are criminal like Modany. But grow up and think about someone else besides yourself.
Yes, you were part of a predatory scam college, just like me, and did Modany's bidding, without anyone holding a gun to our heads.
No one made students enroll at ITT. It was their choice. College is expensive
Was it there choice to have a rep call 3 times a day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day possibly for quarter after quarter after quarter after quarter after quarter after quarter..I saw some students were called over 150 times! Now this is NOT the reps fault, it is the hound-dogs that demand calls/enrollments from the reps....or else!
College is expensive...True, but should it be 2x-4x the expense of other places for, at most, the same level of services? Again, the reps don't set the prices they just dole out the info. The reps work hard with the meager tools they're given, fighting on the harsh frontline for their dear comrades in warm HQ, enjoying their martinis & reports front the field..
You people talking crap about the reps and other emoloyees are pathetic. No one made students enroll at ITT. It was their choice. College is expensive. Students could have gone anywhere they chose and Could have gotten loans for those colleges too... But guess what, if you take out a loan you have to pay it back, that's the way the world works. Don't blame the reps! It is not the reps fault that some of the students dropped out or didn't try and failed. A LOT of students graduated and got great paying jobs. The ITT employees cared about their students and their jobs. Corporate shots were the problem not the regular hourly employees so shut up already. We are trying to feed our families and keep our homes. Enough!
Good? How many lives were ruined? Why do we still not have lifetime default rates for this space?
The only justice will be if Modany and Fitzpatrick (old CFO) are sued for years.
No one could stay at a place like that more than a couple years and not see the fraud. Continuing to perpetuate it is criminal. Lucky local authorities don't bother prosecuting reps and financial aid officers.
Yeah criminal, most criminal operations rely on a bunch of saps to work the con job. Intentions don't matter when all students got shafted for a minimum of $50,000.
Criminal? The most employees wanted to do good
