The week of the rumored BLOODBATH...

Haven't heard anymore rumors yet other than this week is supposed to be brutal.

Right, we have no control and have to assume the workforce in the USA will lose there jobs at some point to lower cost countries (not better, just lower cost. The old saying you get what you pay for holds true).

Yes the lower cost countries are cheaper on the books, but they don't think outside the box, every thing needs to be documented step by step. If the document they are reading don't cover it, they can't debug. They can't debug out of a wet paper bag.

It's just waiting for the next re-org, the next job cuts, the more work that is added on top of what we already have.

Yes we can change jobs , but jobs are not a dime a dozen in the USA as they once were.

I say cut a few VP's , guys on the board and save 100's of tech jobs, because we do the work anyway.

Hell lets right source the CEO to a lower cost county if it's good for the workers , it's good for the VP's , Board and CEO also.

Agree on instant layoffs? Not like you have a choice when handed your last paycheck and your logon is locked down.

No need for "weeks of notice" here. This has been going on for a few months now. Unless you are a total dumb a--, you updated your resume and started looking a long time ago.

Employee from CSC USA here.

Until employees truly expect respect from companies,

Companies wont respect employees.

As long as you agree on instant layoffs, dont be surprised if it happens to you some day.

Many other countries have weeks of notice as minimum delay before to actually layoff someone

which actually allows for employees to look for a job ahead.

Guess we'll find out after it happens. Who really knows this stuff in advance anyway. Certainly no one posting to this site
