Those of you bashing Obamacare...prior to this, many of you would be considered uninsurable (for a multitude of reasons, including high blood pressure, diabetes). Now you have the option of purchasing insurance without hoping that someone will hire you before you have a large claim.

Chapter 7 bankruptcy, employer discontinued paying for benefits continuation. Chard Snyder told me this afternoon they received official notification from ITT and that ITT will be sending letter. Yeah right. They won't be sending anything, but information is reliable.

Marketplace less expensive than COBRA but coverage is worse than what we had. Didn't think that was possible. I take one medication for acid reflux and ITT stopped paying Cigna to cover proton pump inhibitors in June 2015. Been paying out of pocket $80 month since. Cheapest marketplace is $545 month with $7,000 deductible. All charges out of pocket until deductible met.

Will do without insurance until I land another job.
