I payed down my mortgage, and have a nice blue spot on my CV that make me employable. And still have my mind, it will just take a while to clean up the whole toxic dirt poured into it by management.

I agree, the layoff package is world class. When I saw the package numbers I wanted to sign and walk away myself. I enjoyed those 5 months off without worrying about a paycheck and insurance. Thanks Intel!
@Jnjp6qU-4mhv yup.. can't complain about that. The forced ISP wasn't fair at all, the walkout was about as rude as you could imagine given my 20 years and what I gave.
But thanks for the one years salary, two years health care, almost 200K pension cashout. Looking forward to my new job start next month.
Talk often with my old friends, feel sad for how hard they work and how grim their future looks as some will certainly lose their jobs in 2017 and more in 2018 from ACT2 and ACT3
That is does @4mhv!
-Taker of said package
It pays world class packages (to people it lays off)

Free condoms with "Intel inside" in blue letters on the side
Yeah ... De mortuis nil nisi bonum.
There's always a parking space especially in the last few months.
I enjoyed the huge sign on bonus and left right after deadline to pay it back.
Free tampons in the bathrooms. it's nice not having to swing by my desk and discretely hide a Tampax from my desk to the restroom. lol.
They, Intel, were once the envy of the semiconductor world under Noyce, Moore and Grove, simply legends and then started falling off with the Stanford Professor and Cal MBA and hit bottom with the bozo from San Jose state. Still reared and I am sure in many board rooms lots of wonder WTF did they do ACT and are they stupid or brilliant in their current thrusts. Three CEOs personally expressed shock in the ACT and couldn't understand it.
I liked my salary!
something nice about Intel.
Used to be a great company. Was the real revolutionary of the 60s--transformed the world. I was happy to work there but toward the end it was destructive and self-consuming. It fed my family for 10 years. Made some good friends. I am sorry it all crashed.
LMAO @ They don't charge us to use the washroom yet! @1odw
I'm dating myself but I remember those days. Not at Intel, but places like large department stores, etc. I think it was a dime to get into the stall or something like that. Times have sure changed.
They don't charge us to use the washroom yet!
Intel, thanks for the PC - you had an epic run but the world has passed you by. What once was great is no longer. We now call our phones PCs. You missed out, but led the way for others. Thanks!
NEVER!

I like the shade of blue.
Thanks for the free fruits...as long as the greedy hoarders don't get to the fruits before you do.
Thank you for the really nice ERP package. :) Also, it went off without a hitch. No issues with anything (and I fully expected issues.)
The automated soap dispensers work most of the time.
