Surface dissolving positions and firing entire groups as of yesterday AM. They told us we had to move to Houston to retain our positions and what happens two weeks after selling homes and buying new ones in TX? We don't need you now, sorry about all of that.

I have a son who moved to Denver area after fmc closed it's doors in vernal, ut. After a year and a half fmc laid off all managers, supervisors and leads were let go today when they got to work. Piss poor management if you ask me. Not so much as a warning or anything. This company is very cold hearted to the employees.
Why is there so much building still going on? Something is going on
You don't want to move to Houston. Its an oil and gas wasteland. Thousands of people are out of jobs out here where this industry was the hottest. You read the emails right? FMC pretty much planning on keeping only the subsea division. The rest can go to hell, so to speak. Even that division they're still picking off at the begining of every month till they've slimmed out enough for the "integration" with technip. Don't kid yourself. FMC is no more. Jump to another industry while you still can, and for god sakes stay away from Houston at least for another 2 years.
To all axed surface employees: admit it, you're happier now.
There's no saving the sh-- decision-making of the surface management team.
So, enjoy the freedom and redeem your worth.
Best of luck!!!
WOULD YOU REALLY MOVE TO HOUSTON AND BUY A HOUSE AFTER JUST WITNESSING AN ENTIRE GROUP BEING DISSOLVED??!!
REALLY???!!!
what groups were impacted? what difference does it make if you move to Houston or stay in your current location....would this mean that a location is going to close? Otherwise it makes no sense if positions are eliminated in a certain location but not in Houston. Next will it be relocate to Paris?
