I really wish the good people that still there can find a better job. I really miss my fellow friends but life continues. We all now have better jobs and a different mindset. I thank ECMC for trying but sometimes the shoe don't fit quite well and is better just to take it off.
Its funny you say military. I have taught for 3 for profit schools and one weird aspect is the number of retired military at high ranks in the schools. Many former Sergeants, Airman, Sailors retirees that got bozo Masters and Doctoral degrees from questionable schools hold top positions in all three of the schools I taught at. I thought it was weird, but they were good bosses, because they didn't really do anything. It was all about selling to get more students. They normally hired females below them that also were very unqualified, very quirky and also just pushed you to pass students any way you can.
I now think it was the formula for the top to get rich. Hire retired military that really don't care and will just do whatever it takes, because that is what they learned in the Military (federal government). Hire middle women who do the pushing through of the students and there you go, a formula to get rich on. Why so many retired military. No other real schools hire so many?
You can not run a school with paper whipped instructors to cover the classes. How can you succeed when the managers have never worked in the industry they preach about? The military control is a nice cover for lack of experience and ability.
I hear they are stopping enrollments for January and beyond. Numbers are too low for the next start and the plug is getting pulled.
There will more than likely be an announcement about Daytona and Blairsville in less than a week.
Hey, the economy is picking up and unemployment is down. If you haven't started looking for a new job, you need to start and consider that your primary job. Most of my fellow ex-CCi/ECMC employees have not only landed on their feet, but are at much better workplaces and have far better current prospects then those they left behind. Don't be passive at this point, it's just silly.
