Thread regarding McKesson Corp. layoffs

Insight Annual UserGroup

What's up with McKesson and Insight! McKesson is saying the Insight Board invited Cerner and Meditech to the annual usergroup and the vendors are saying McKesson invited them. So now McKesson leadership is saying they are refusing to go to the annual user group convention. Which they normally show their products, roadmap, etc... Sounds like a well laid out plan to me! McKesson leadership is having a call tomorrow to explain why they won't attend. Basically they are saying what they have is proprietary and can't be shown with other vendors. Other vendors were NEVER allowed prior to this year as it was a McKesson event. Sounds like a cluster and spiraling faster and faster out of control.

Moving to Epic is definitely the right move. Paragon as a product is in its death throes.

The link to book your hotel for the October planning event in Charlotte is not working. Let me guess just a coincidence.

Layoffs probably coming soon for a number of reasons that would include 1) Insight's little move has pissed off the beast 2) McK probably does not want to spend mega bucks again to bring everyone to Charlotte in October for a planning meeting when MU3 work is close to done 3) EIS is still middle management heavy.

Sounds like McKesson is wanting Meditech and Cerner to take over our hospitals. Falling apart over there.

Interesting timing. First update call from Nimesh scheduled about strategic options. Then Mckesson supposedly "pulls out" from Insight on the same day. Can Pat Blake just pull the plug now instead of waiting until October?
