They are axing people based on income, people they are no longer getting tax breaks for employing or position elimination. They are not even looking at employee reviews, other ee's attendance, others ee's that use racial slurs in front of there superiors while in the presence of people of color "Detroit site" technicians, other ee's that have rage problems who's subordinates are fearful of working around them, ee's/superiors that use g--/lesbian slurs...Etc. Etc. Etc.

Presort is in big trouble. Being run into the ground by Pres. D.P.
She is letting all the good leaders go as she is afraid they may expose her incompetence. HR won't deal with her. All us GM's are afraid to speak up. Those that dis were let go with made up reasons.
It's normal it seems for senior mgmt, one of the managers said to a lady employee who came back after her marriage leaves, quote "You don't look like married to me"
And HR also didn't mind that wording.... Maybe she doesn't wants to take any action.
I know a certain VP who has mad vulgar comments to several employees and about their spouses !
All HR said was : quote: Are you sure he really meant that! Well - I know what he said and he said what he meant !
