@JlV4ZF8-1snf : exactly my experience. I could not believe the level of managerial incompetence, I was asking myself why the heck they won't fix the most basic problems and why are they allowing the huge level of nonsense, routine work that could be automated with a click. Proposed to improve things, just to find out that I was sabotaged by the same people that praised my contributions in the meetings. I was young and naive, thinking that Intel is a great place where you can build a career as engineer and contribute to something.
Took me years to realize that the incompetence and corruption is the rule, not an exception that will be fixed soon.
LAR managers became all from Argentina
Promotion at Intel is all about being someone's pet.
And getting laid off is all about not being someone's pet.
So get to s uckin' a*s people who wish to "succeed" at Intel.
You'll have be better at it than the others, though.
"I got completely sure with ACT, and when I saw that BK's puppy M.F is being promoted."
Not sure who MF is but time and time again I saw incompetent toadies and sycophants (AKA TA's) get promoted over people who actually knew what they're doing and had some leadership / management skills.
That sends a strong message to the people below: This behavior will get you promoted (and competence, respect of peers and people in industry will not).
So sad and dispiriting. And we wonder why the executive ranks of Intel are so useless!
SET
I started to realize it when BOD preferred BK from the fub over Dadi.
I got completely sure with ACT, and when I saw that BK's puppy M.F is being promoted.
When the clown decided to host a game show.
Look all smart TV (just TV + a computer), are you able to find any one with Intel side?
Thanks Google and ARM, we can have cheap smart TV. Image a smart TV is Intel inside running Windows, how much we need to pay for a smart TV? Or, will we ever have smart TV?
#GOLD post indeed
When did you realize Intel was going to s*it?
Drones. Spider dresses. Butterfly dresses. Flying BMX bikes. Mica bracelets. Basis watches. URMs. LBGT bathrooms. GamerGate. All distractions.
PSO.
Meego and the whole "we're not blinking" bullsh1t. Just unfathomable stupidity in the executive ranks.
When they got in bed with Jessie Jackson.
Honestly, shortly after I joined Intel (less than 2 years ago), I knew that things were really screwed up.
It wasn't until about 6 months in that I realized that the proverbial emperors have no clothes. There is no helping it or changing it without a major shake-up.
"How is it possible that no one here knows __?!" I asked myself every day.
"Why did _ get funded to do some pointless BS and I've been told five times that there's no money to do _, despite providing well-reasoned and supported evidence of the ROI?!"
"So how is this ever going to make Intel money?!"
Just jaw dropping stupidity. Every day.
I just wonder how many people like me were targeted and ISP'd for actually trying to help fix Intel's woes (why, I thought - incorrectly I now know - I was hired!)
It was when PSO started making terrible decisions and completely ignored our major customers... 10 years ago or thereabouts.
For me it was the day I started back in 2000. I kid you not. Might have been before that but I wasn't aware since I didn't work there yet.
Once the BoD elevated a weak, uninspiring, stupid, inexperienced Fab monkey who is also friends of Andy Bryant was the turning point that we knew it was all over. It had some possibility of regaining it's footing prior to the atrocious decision.
