Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Has anyone heard how Cabela's plans to address the new overtime law coming into effect at the end of this year?

We!ve heard how some of the other big box retailers are going to address the new law, as it applies to exempt employees, has anyone heard of how Cabela's may deal with it? One option is to raise any exempt's salary to the minimum threshold or another is to change most managers to non-salaried and change the hourly rate to something similar to their current salary. Just curious.

I heard a few managers were looking at suing because of the way the yearly bonus was handled. Busted their butts for 25% of what they should have received.

Boom, there it is. All except the select few reduced to hourly position. What next?

They will probably change it to hourly pay. No way they raise the salaries north of $47,000 for some of my bosses. If they do, expect a lot of walking out.
