Thread regarding ITT Educational Services Inc. layoffs

I know you are losing jobs. But does anyone care about the students? Remember them?

I hear that Breckinridge students will have their credits transferred in KY. Anybody know any other schools that are having ITT Tech or Breckinridge credits successfully transfer over to public institutions? If you do, please let the ITT Tech Warriors know, or email me.

It was $45,000 for the degree and $100,000 for drugs.

The lifetime loan limit for up to a Bachelor degree is $57,500. If you claim to have $145,000 in loan debt then you must have not paid a dime in 15 or more years to accrue close to that amount in fees. Pay your loans, don't blame default on ITT, blame it on being a d---beat who is in default.

$145,000 debt from ITT, sure, sure...you must be unable to calculate...none of their degrees cost anywhere near that much.

If you went $145,000 in debt for student loans, there's no college on earth that can educate you. WOW

$10 for every transcript you have emailed to someone. Gotta love that.

If they ever cared they would have actually spent money on career services and lining up good jobs. I'm $145000 in debt from this sh--shack and still can't find a job because of their terrible reputation.

Of course we care about the students. I spent last week sending out official transcripts to all of the students who were active at my campus; about 300 transcripts. I also included a copy of the loan discharge application with directions on how to complete the form as well as the mailing address for their loan provider.

I did this before starting the process to close the campus.

So yes, I do care about the students.

"This is a forum for laid off employees,"

This forum was full of useful information about the possibility of layoffs well before the past week and most of that information came from those who had worked at ITT Tech, saw the mess it was in and often left of their own accord.

The forum is for subjects pertaining to layoffs or the possibility thereof. It is not the exclusive domain of those who have actually been laid off.

The OP was just asking for some info, not complaining that they had priority.

Please apologize profusely when you get a chance

This attitude of "me" over people losing their JOBS is one of the reasons ITT Tech students are not taken seriously by employers.

At the ITT website there are names of institutions listed that are under investigation by the same agencies that were investigating ITT. I would be doing a lot of research on these other schools before I signed anything.

Go to www.itt-tech.edu and look under Educational Options - Other Institutions. It provides a list of schools that have reached out to help students.

This is a forum for laid off employees, hence the website name. What type of conversations do you expect on here? I have student loan too, just saying!

With that being said, check out this link on the ACICS website, the list of school where your credits can transfer to is on there. Click on the state you live in, I hope this helps!
