I don't think the guy was saying to throw the MTS employees out with the trash. They were saying they are being treated like trash by the company. Please the Trump remark doesn't belong here!! I am so tired of it all.

To the person who says to throw MTS employees out with the trash...you are the exact reason why this company is so disgusting. I can't imagine working with a deplorable human being like you who has zero empathy and spends their days on this earth with such nasty thoughts. You must be a Trump supporter. I don't work for MTS and I am ashamed to say I work at a company with such douchebags ...not much longer, that's for sure.

EIS employees still waiting while Hammer and his team "explore strategic alternatives for the EIS division"

"The U.S. Deparment of Justice is requesting more information from McKesson and Change Healthcare Holdings before signing off on the two companies’ plans to combine health IT operations into a new, $3.4 billion business."

Boy this site is full of rumors...why would MTS layoff any employee when they have already announced they are moving the minions to a New Company. Once they move them all, get an IPO, McK stock shoots skyward and they can chop all they want at this New Co and not owe these long term employees a penny....Just move all the MTS employees out with the trash...we are done with them.

Overheard management discussing cuts in October. They are pushing for our projects to be completed/loose ends tied up by this Friday (Sept 30) due to key employees possibly leaving the company (not voluntary) Oct 1st....doesn't sound good, I've learned to expect anything and be prepared.

People are choosing to leave on MHS side too. I know EIS has already been affected by mass exodus. BPS team is where I know quite a few people just waiting for offer confirmations. I wonder how many people will be left come January.

EIS retentions were offered to several also. Is the new program the pizza lunch that we are getting tomorrow?

Retentions were offered after the NewCo announcement in all BUs - MHS, CC&A, IWS ...

Sounds as if the last poster is the one confused. Retentions are not RSU's and are being offered.

I think some of the posters may be mistaking or equating things like options (or most likely RSUs) to "retention bonuses". I've never known McK to give out long-term cash incentives while RSUs are given to those "key" members of the workforce during raise season after they reach a certain job code level. You can find this stuff on the internal McK site if you don't know about them.

From what I understand during the most recent RIFs these long-term incentives have been fully vested when an employee is caught in the RIF where they usually take 3-4 years to vest.

The only questions are will this pattern continue (with the next RIF rumored to be sometime around November) and how many of us will reach the end of the fiscal year in March?

Me, they'll probably ask me to turn off the lights as I leave the building if I was silly enough to stay until the end.

To the last poster, you are obviously reading this site too..so you must be looking for information. Its ok for people to ask and share info. Some of their livelihoods depend on it.

To employees asking about a retention bonus, I've never known McK to offer this. Over the past 10 years that I've seen layoffs/RIF, never once were retention bonuses needed because their positions were already offshored or eliminated.

Why does anyone believe anything posted on this site? There's a lot of speculation with little substantiation. It could very well be postings from Cerner employees trying to stir things up.

Don't believe everything you read on the interwebz, people!

I'm curious too..which McK entity do you work for that offered you a retention bonus? Did you give a resignation before this was offered?

what department are you in where you got a retention bonus?

Do you get a partial payment if McK laid you off? It is not defined in the retention bonus terms. It only says that you will be paid nothing if you leave before the retention period end.

It is interesting that last week it was announced that 1 post was being leased out. Now McKesson has paid for a 271,000 foot office building in Phoenix for more than 2000 employees. Goodbye sf, hello desert. Hammergren collected 18 million last week, and then another 18 million last week. He needs to lay off more people because he has only made 88 million this year and he can barely feed his family. I lead and I care though, let's not forget that

Do you know which roles were getting the retention package?

Money is not an incentive for me.

Being able to do good work is.

The company makes it difficult to do good work. I could sit on my thumbs 7 hours a day, do one hour of work and be productive, and that would fit with the status quo of my office.

I'm leaving.

If you are offered 15-25% retention bonus you might as a well threaten to quit unless you get a permanent 25% raise.

I was given a long term retention incentive. Was told it would take 4 years to vest and I would get it each year. The second year it disappeared with new management change...no one could explain to me why it was gone...I submitted my resignation..And left... icare my fanny!

Retentions are only being offered to the younger generation over and over again. Funny how oblivious management defines valuable employees and this is how you increase morale?

Hey bust your butt, learn something each day. Improve how your group is doing things...do it for yourself, it builds character and a resume if nothing else.

So when is this "new program" going to happen? We are losing really good people now and it is making morale terrible. They need to do something soon!

Leadership? What leadership? Nobody in a position of power exhibits any leadership. Not in the true sense. They exhibit management. Exude it from every pore.

We must follow the example that made Horizon ERM such a successful product: Hire even more off-shore labor with minimal skills and even less capacity with English and more middle managers who spend the majority of their time scheduling meetings.

Paragon has become the worst kind of Dilbert cartoon. No wonder no one shows up for work anymore.

When did it get so bad? Can you say Obamacare? It may not be bad in the whole healthcare industry - it may just be McKesson Paragon because it was so badly mismanaged. Look at how fast the directors are jumping ship now. Most of the little guys - actual workers - still want to just do their jobs and move forward, but Agile makes that difficult.
