A question that seems to sum up everything we're witnessing

One of our professors asked a question that seems to sum up everything we're witnessing in all departments, and explains a big part of what's going wrong. He said, "Why does it always feel like caring for students is going against the company?"

He's right...

If we did everything "right" according to the expectations, we'd be screwing the students over. On the other hand, if we try to do what's right for students, we get "talked to" by management. It's a no-win situation.

My direct supervisor is on the side of the students for sure, but often when he tries to do what's best for them, he gets yelled at by HIS boss for being out of compliance or derailing the system or some other stupid thing. It really is sickening.

DeVry "Care" is an empty promise...

for empty hallways....why not try enrolling only top students who really want a solid tech education, not players, drunkards, wannabees, and others not serious about a tech degree.
