Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Here we go again...IBM Layoffs

Well, BIG BLUE is at it again, another round of senseless layoffs.. Thursday, September 2, 2016.. no statement of direction on how Ginni or the top brass will save the company... those left will be over worked, over burdened and left to be the ones to eventually turn out the lights.. of course the Top Brass will have their golden parachutes, bonuses and matching 401k, unlike those of us who are permanently laid off on December 1, 2016... just 14 days before they would have had to pay us our annual match...congratulations Ginni and team of financial wizards! Another few bucks saved while Armonk still burns!

I was just RAd and while I'm somewhat relieved, I'm SO angry. This company is despicable. To layoff people and have their last work day a few days before the Dec 15th 401k match date, and right before the holiday season is so evil, so disgusting.

Watching IBM

From anon: There have been an astonishing number of defections in the last few weeks, very top talent. The ones I talked to said they were disgusted with the company and sick of the RA stress. Now managers are scrambling to fill in the spots with people who are already overworked and have low morale. A few of these were very respected client-facing technical people, one was an extremely valuable Director (who said he couldn't stomach having to go through another RA cycle). The ones I know about have all gone to competitors, carrying valuable knowledge of the chaos, low morale, and defective products in IBM. It signals what will likely be a big exodus on December 15, when folks qualify for their 401k match, or at the end of the year. This is in addition to the three top executives in the federal software group who were just fired for some kind of malfeasance having to do with a big Navy contract. As well, a number of key top execs are selling off pretty big parcels of IBM stock, as Ginni did shortly before announcing that the 2015 Roadmap would be killed off, causing the stock to tank.

"just 14 days before they would have had to pay us our annual match" - huge savings, hmmm. The thing is, all money saved this way will be channeled back, in equal amounts to Ginny's crew and shareholders in form of dividends. Talking about blood money....
