This is the only area it might be a good idea to follow in the footsteps of the executive team - start updating your LinkedIn profile and trading recommendations. At least 2 HQ leaders have new recommendations on LinkedIn as of 8/31. They are clearly reaching out to inner circles based on the deleted FB post as well.
Search for the jobs you are interested in and add the keywords used in the job description to your online profiles. Make sure that when recruiters search based on the requirements given to them by hiring managers, you show up.
Working in the HR industry, it seems pretty appallingt that HQ is leaving everyone in the dark like this. It's one thing to show up one day and not have your security badge work (unfortunately this happens a lot when a company or branch goes under), but a completely different scenario to leave everyone in limbo over a long holiday weekend. I honestly hope HQ really hasn't made a decision yet, but it seems more likely they knew wjat they were going to do by Thursday last week.
Go ahead and hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. Even if ITT manages to stick around for another semester, it's still time to start the job hunt.
Students: Do whatever you can to transfer to a regionally accredited school. Look into CLEP exams and other tests for credit.
Then get a Bachelor's degree. 99% of the time an Associate's degree doesn't mean anything more than a high school diploma for purposes of hiring requirements. If you don't plan on getting a 4yr degree, just self study and get certificates.
Nursing students, I understand you are in a different position. Good news - I don't believe this webpage existed a few days ago:
