If ITT offers a teach-out instead of closing, you are not eligible for loan forgiveness, you would be considered a drop out. Please study the qualifications for Federal Student Loan Forgiveness before spewing false advice.
Forgot this part. If your credits do transfer then you will possibly not be able to be granted loan forgiveness for a school close-out because you opted to do a teach-out and/or transferred your credits, thereby being able to continue to progress with your current program as if you were not left out in the cold by your current school.
Read the articles regarding teachouts from the federal government. You will not be getting it from ITT, as they are closing soon. The credits you earned will not transfer to another school.; and if they do, you will still have to take that schools entrance exam to be accepted, and then start all over. I m in the same boat as you and a lot of others. Blessings.
Why not? I got 6 quarters done.
