Thread regarding ITT Educational Services Inc. layoffs

Just got off the phone with the District Manager. Unless the ED comes back with a favorable response on Tuesday, we'll enter into a "winddown".

More details to come, but the sh-- is gonna hit the fan on Tuesday.

"Winddown? Is that like a countdown, closedown, crackdown, meltdown, rundown, clampdown, comedown, letdown, shutdown, thumbdown?"

Except that it is not a single word. It is a phrasal verb "wind down". Sigh.

It is say that as an employee I've gotten 90% of my information about what is going on from the internet and these kinds of sites and only 1 vague email from my employer.

The ball is in ED's hands, is what CEO is trying to say. ED has blog for keeping students current -- unfortunately no such page for employees! But ED may make decision well before Tuesday, and may post SOME info on their blog. Just maybe!

Winddown means pick up your personal belongings. 1 or 2 employees work for the rest of the week to close the doors.
