I called Navient this evening and they are sending me out the loan discharge forms. I suppose that I should be insanely excited right now since I can wipe out over 65K worth of student loan debt. However I was attending Colorado Technical University online working toward my master's degree.
I was supposed to return on October 2nd. I started to read the Closed School Discharge criteria and guess what...you're not eligible for the debt forgiveness "by transferring academic credits or hours earned at the closed school to another school" Therefore, I cannot currently finish the MSIT program that I started a year ago and get my ITT loans discharged. Maybe when this is all over I can return to CTU? Only time will tell :(
