Verizon Communications (VZ) said Q3 revenue fell 6.7% to $30.94 billion, missing Wall Street views, as the phone company unexpectedly lost 36,000 wireless postpaid phone subscribers compared with a gain of 430,000 in the year-earlier.

This is what Credo with Verizon really stands for:

C= Cold hearted

R= Ruthless

E= Evil

D= Deplorable

O= Oppressive

V= Vicious

E= Eroding

R= Rude

I = Ignorant

Z= Zero compassion

O= Opposite of loyal

N= Negative

Close to retirement 18+ years over 50 and just thrown out 2 yrs from retirement. This is exactly what verizon credo is

Don't worry Shammies got it under control. Just look at these polished words of wisdom he quoted on the call today:

“We will continue to be very rational in our competitive response,” Shammo said on a call with analysts. “We will respond when we need to, obviously we responded on the equipment side of the equation. But as we continue here, unlimited is still not something we’re going to move to.”

Good job little hobbit man. But I think "very rational" went out the window about 8 quarters ago when VZ decided to fork over billions for Vodaphones half.

All of the employees VZ have laid off are telling their friends to go with T-Mobile or Sprint...it's Karma when you treat people bad who have been loyal!

I can guarantee you that most of the 36,000 customer defections were the people they put out on strike for 7 weeks. There are repercussions when you treat the employees like that.

Blame the customers for the loss. Thats it Fran. I tell you the reason customers are leaving is because they're not happy with Verizon I don't think it has anything to do with not willing to pay more for better. Fran if the truth be told you know that without the customer base we have no company so don't say that you don't need the people who left because they don't want better, because that's untrue,

without them there is no company and you cannot afford to keep losing customers at this rate . face the fact. Failure starts from the top. Frontline employees are Only as good as their top leaders their upper management. When you let go of your front line customer service the people who try to retain customers that is a big mistake. We in the retail locations are the ones who try to retain them. You will continue to lose retail customers because you let go of your face to face customer service who actually retained customer vase. Not the way to stop the bleeding. Verizon is on a downward Spiral. Everyone knows in the stores that there will be more layoffs. Sales reps are saying they know that after the holiday seasons in the first quarter they are more layoffs coming. Many of retail sales rep are secretly looking for new jobs so they are not blindsided like the cs and es were. They are going to get Verizon before they get them. You guys do things behind back doors without telling us they are doing what you guys do. Smile in your face and stab us in our backs.

Upper management upper management is shaking in their boots because they know they can't stop the bleeding and the only way they can make the numbers look good is to let go of their older employees the one they're paying more for make sure they don't get paid for retirement aren't able to keep their phone lines at a discount and make it look like we are making a profit when they know good and well we're not so instead of standing up to the issues that they have no blame them please lay off the loyal employees and keep their jobs Verizon is going down Verizon needs new management they need to have some integrity and sell with Integrity because I know for a fact they don't if you take account of all the people that are being sold stuff they don't need and bring it back that's why we're losing because the new people they're hiring aren't as loyal as your old one don't care about it. There are laying all of their loyal longtime employees who were ready to retire and don't think it's not going to happen to you and when it does you'll see how sad it really is for a company that you put all this time into and they kick you to the curb without a second thought. You tell me where is the loyalty in that. At least if employees that were within 3 to 4 of retire you could have enough EMPATHY TO LET THEM KEEP THE BENEFITS. Oh I forgot it because we are not important to your bottom dollar. We are too expensive to keep loyal and Integrity is your core vaule. What a joke it is make me money at any cost is your core value.

I was laid off and can't afford to pay the price for Verizon service so we are taking all of my 8 lines and will be able to pay the same amount as I did as an Verizon Wireless employee on my employee account. Peace out Verizon and expect more people to leave, my friends said the only reason they stayed with high price Verizon and didn't get rid of the service was because of loyalty to me, unlike a Verizon who doesn't know loyalty. Not only did Verizon screw longtime employees but they also want to take away any of the benefits that they had even if they were two years or a year from returned it be able to keep the the benefit sad sad sad not only did you take our jobs but now you also are trying to hit our income your service isn't as great as you think it is and you guys are not leaders you're following When AT&T does something you do it I'm pretty sure that will get unlimited back because other companies are now offering it and you guys always follow never lead. But just a heads up you think when you say things that the meetings that people really believe you guys the only reason why they clap and smile is because they want to keep their jobs but behind closed doors they say you guys are crooked and want us to sell stuff that we don't even believe in.

Fran actually said, if they are not willing to pay for a better network we don't want them. We'll I guess it doesn't matter because Verizon didn't want them anyway.

According to Fran those 36,000 Verizon lost are the customers we won't be able to keep because they don't mind paying less for wireless service somewhere else. #BETTERMATTERS!
