Not surprised at all. I was RIF'D November 2015. I was on the B2B sales side as support. Part of my job was visiting fortune 500 companies that have contracts with VZW, they are called employee vendor days. Over the last few years i would hear complaint after complaint about vz pricing, customer service and billing. Now, one of these companies were all hi tech engineers that create the technology we use today, the biggest complaint was that they could not understand our bills. These are engineers we are talking about here and they couldn't even understand the breakdown of VZ bills. Other complaint, lack of response and customer care from account managers. Myself as an associate would provide more support and they ditch me. They could have fired 1 major account manager and saved 3 associate jobs. Plenty of useless shady MAM's they could have got rid of. I had seen a decline in growth on this account and many others, in fact, most accounts were pulling lines and switching to other providers. I checked back to see how these accounts are doing today, 2 of the accounts totally left VZ and the others continue to drop off lines. Decline has been in full effect over the past 2 years and still going. Good luck VZW. I said this once before and i say it again, I WAS proud to work for VZW up until about 2 years ago. I guess it really was time for me to go. but grateful for a successful 16+ years with the company. Changes need to be made all around, especially with AD's, Directors, Account Managers. Until changes are made the company will continue to suffer and unfortunately more good hard working people will be fired. Good luck all.
