Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

More layoffs for contractors

More contractors will be forced to leave. Looks like people means nothing for top leadership. They think they can drastically rump down at the end of the year to quickly rump up starting from new year. That does not work that way in our industry. This is really stupid and very short term thinking!

All contractors were fired in my whole organization. Maybe Sabre is too old to adapt to XXI century with this practice. Does the company realize that hiring new people and then onboarding them/getting them up to speed takes an average of 6 months? I don't understand the maths when it comes to IT development.

FTE reduction may follow dev CTR reduction for roles which ratio is not 'correct' anymore (like BA, PM etc)

Many contractors were informed at 4 pm that today was their last day. No week notice, No Knowledge transfer or handover. Looks like a 2013 sequel.

That's what the contractors are for. You pay a little extra, so that you can get rid of them more easily.
