No layoffs needed. Project Ocean will take care of it.

So there were zero layoffs on judgement day. Any other baseless rumors to start?

Make sure you say your goodbyes tonight to your fellow State Street workers. Tomorrow is expected to be really tough. Keep your head up and remember it will be better soon--as soon as you leave State Street. I bet a job at Wells Fargo would even be better.

Sadly--the lower level worker is the most at risk. But---7000 total layoffs so NO ONE is safe.

The layoffs in the Spring seemed to target a lot of the higher payed execs. Any thoughts on what the next round of layoffs could have in store? I work from home so miss a lot of the office banter.

I agree that the layoffs should be extensive. Unless they plan on having monthly layoffs. If they are cutting staff of 7,000 or more by 2020, I would expect that this year will be 1,200 at least.

Yes to it starting end of October - perhaps 10/26/16? Not in agreement with it being done in small groups. That's not what I'm hearing....

They will do it in small groups starting end of October. They don't need to wait till election day. Logistically they need to start by the end of this month.

Knowing State Street they will wait until the day of the election to let everyone know.

Sneak the announcement under the radar so it's not front page news.
