Thread regarding Capgemini layoffs

No Layoffs in 2016, but 2017 is uncertain for Capgemini

I have been with the company over 5 years and I am very happy in my role. I joined straight from school and I started specializing in SAP. I made manager in about five years and I hope to stay in consulting for next 3 years.

The mood is good and the company is doing really well - there are some concerns about what the future brings for Capgemini as more things are moved to the Cloud and there will be less consulting required just due to the nature of cloud work.

With this being said, I am not anticipating any Capgemini layoffs in 2017 (at lease Q1 and Q2 2017) but you never know as things can turn around in IT very quickly.

This is not at all a good place to work..I am not stereotyping this but this is how it made me feel... only based on 1 managers opinion they give you a poor rating of '4', and release you from one project... then for 3 months the Resort management group hardly leads you for anybproject opportunity.... in 3 months they send you for just 1/ 2 vacancies...rest all you try networking on your own. ... then post 3 months one fine day HR calls you for dudcussion..and tells you that you are NOT CONFIRMED by the company and today is u your LAST DAY @ WORK.... HOW RIDICULOUS AND PATHETIC...HR here only supports managers and higher mgmt..not employees..and many times HR is very rude also..mi got laid off...3 days back...complete injustice !!!

Capgemini is really bad as it takes multiple round of interview n then on the basis of 90days notice period rejects everyone...We mention on the very first day about 90 days notice period then why the hell you waste our time so much....Also the HR recruitment department is pathetic they never inform about the status...Really shameful company
