Breakroom Call Day Nonsense

How f'ing stupid and waste of "sacred selling time" was Oct 17's breakroom call day! SAL's on the east coast were once again forced to endure another disorganized, sloppily conducted day of calling customers begging them to buy breakroom crap. Then every call, email, etc had to be logged in that god awful salesforce dot com sh--bag website so they could monitor us like little children. So much of our time is wasted on remedial desk work and not in front of customers.

Just to clarify it was not the ASM who got demoted, It was the RSD who kept their titles but lost all stock, bonus, benefits and ASM staff. They are now ASM'S with RSD titles. Furthermore their level has changed to a lower level and no one is happy about it.

Most area's of the country no longer have Staples delivery any longer. It all goes third party. Mason is starting to rule the roost with their acquisition's.

As far as call days, they were a waste when I was there and they still are. Looks like they're going to start babysitting you guys with having to log everything into SFD. Good luck, get the resume in order, and get out!

They have to justify the SAL's manager's now, they're all Regional Sales Directors, the Sales Manager's were all demoted or took a severance package during the blood bath in January. Funny, how in the CE world, they got along fine with a sales manager and a Divisional VP of Sales....no middle man like the RSD.

The break room cold calls justify the positions of the SAL's supervisors.

Funny I was just telling my wife a couple of days ago, as we were driving around running errands, that I no longer see Staples delivery trucks any longer. I used to see them all the time. It seems as though I see WB Mason all the time now.
