Having gone through a "friendly merger" with Technip previously, say good bye to any employee friendly benefits. Plus from a European standard "Americans" are grossly over compensated. So expect cuts in benefits, salary, bonuses, etc...

Regardless how the new org chart starts out the French and Italians are adept at positioning themselves to take over with in a year.

Since when is HR 100 percent honest? Get a clue. They have not and never will be transparent. FMC is looking out for THEIR best interest, not yours. Technip is headquartered in Europe, they did massive layoffs earlier this year in Houston. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out things don't look too good for FMC employees. Regardless if you make it through 4th qtr. The only good thing I can say is someone finally got their head out of their a-- and demoted ol' Timmy Booth.

There is not a plan yet - in the Aftermarket all hand's meeting last week, the HR lady said the merging of Technip with FMC will take years. The details will be worked out along the way. No decision on 980's yet, but they did say that if Technip employees retained 980's then FMC employees would have them - and they did not believe Technip would take them away so it seems probable we will get them.

I'm talking about the few that keep jobs... do we get the same retirement benefits and bonuses, PTO, 9/80's, pension... what's the plan... why have we not been told yet. Obviously there are more layoffs.

Duh, it was announced a while back that Houston EPC was going to have another round in November and January. No crystal ball needed. Q3 conference call stated that more cuts were needed for sure. Just look at our inbound and backlog, it's easy to figure out.

Does anybody have an idea about organization structure and benefits when we combine Tecnip?

With only a handful of people left in manufacturing after the flex cell announcement the end is coming very soon, very soon.
