Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

Fools

You are all fools. ECMC and Zenith is a joke. They are nothing more than an extension of the government. They will bleed you dry. So get this, Zenith will be sending out letters to inform you of your loss of benefits. PTO, that's right, you will receive PTO, and in January you start at zero. No vacation pay, no sick pay...nothing. You must earn the PTO beginning January 1st. Then, if that's not enough, you should expect a pay decrease to keep you position with the company. Now, you're beginning to see the silver lining, at least, for ECMC. Should you accept the 10% pay cut to keep your job, you can stay and work for a state run bureaucracy, and keep your security blanket. Now, what do you think of Dave Hawn, Peter Taylor, ECMC, and Zenith? Still worth clocking in each day under a secretive, controlling, micro managing, government entity? Fools, you are all fools, just like the voters.

Since ecmc took over. Benifits have Been slashed. They steal earned time off from the employees. They make employees work 12 hour days and only pay for 8. Health care cost have Tripled. Management is top heavy. Micromanaging one manager per instructor ratio. Managers and directors don't do anything but delegate to instructors instead of letting the instructors teach which they are supposed to be doing. No cost of living wages. No investment in existing programs. Bringing back failed programs. HR is non existent no response to employees. The ratio for directors to instructors is 2 to 1. Lots of federal employment laws being violated by exemption loop holes.

3xyr: you're correct, ECMC is in bed with the DOE amd the Clinton Foundation. ECMC has donated millions to the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton campaign through the lobby group the Podesta Group headed by John Podesta. The tax money will continue to roll into ECMC and Zenith Education and funneled back to Hillary Clinton. The Podestas are the largest and most corrupt lobbyists in the business. Just read the emails from John Podesta leaked out from Wikileaks and you'll see how things work in Washington DC. If you want to play you have to pay.

Zenith is being operated under typical modern business standards. Corporate officers are not genius' and are following a recipe just like baking a cake. There are no new ideas, nor will there be anything new, except for the spiraling out of control just like Sears Holding Co. Hold on as long as you can and maybe the government will bail you out like the banking industry in 2009. Guess who supports HRC? Guess who supports ECMC? John Podesta

The benefits and PTO comments are 100% true. Leadership had a meeting about it last week. If you don't believe it ask your director or senior director. As far as the decrease in salaries, its a possibility if you have to be realigned due to your current position title and department.

2kdg: Oh, are you Corporate monitoring this site? Interesting...What a cool bunch of PhDs monitoring every inch of the company and all of it's employees. Proves my point that Zenith is all about control and micro-managing. What a nice bunch of Eichmann's running Zenith and ECMC.

Bring back the tried and true unpaid furlough.

No lemmings quit over that one.

It could all be BS, but, on the other hand, it is normal for troubled companies to cut back on labor, first, and then benefits, if the company is unable to return quickly to the black.

PTO isn't bad and you can have a negative PTO balance. If you do have a negative PTO balance they MAY opt to take it out of your final paycheck. You don't have to accrue PTO before you use it. There isn't a 10% pay decrease coming. Nice try but you should really get your facts straight.
