Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Thoughts?

Gm called into a meeting for her store" not being profitable", I wonder if A.) They will brain storm ways to become profitable or B.) Chew her out. Or C.) Tell her the game is up? Hope it's A.

Any one experienced in this?

Could be a pip, or an actual meeting to dive deep and develop a plan. Usually depends on previous counsels etc. Most likely not a termination meeting

Usually every employee has a probation period for a few months and is given warnings and is also helped out. But if it keeps happening frequently for a long time, they let you go. Everything depends on the person who is saying "not being profitable". It actually depends on how much $$ is the store making compared to the expenses being reported. But dont worry, it might be a casual meeting as well not necessary bad news. There are two quarters to go including holiday seasons to bounce back.
