Interns and entry level hires are replacing experienced employees in many companies in America. This is the newest trend amongst large companies to drive down salary cost. Other than the company no one wins, it's a "loose / loose" for professional and skilled workers. New hires settle for less than fair market value and will struggle to achieve their potential earnings goals later in life while older and experienced employees are left in the unemployment lines and are considered too old by many to take a chance on.
designer shoes will carry you far
Still money in the budget for interns. They are salary version of union "SCABS". They'll pick your brain and then replace you eventually
It's really something to see how the dogs turn on each other once the food supply dwindles to only a few meals left. I found that out a long time ago. People you think are loyal friends will throw you under the bus every time when it comes to survival. You have no friends at FMC ....
What divisions in Houston?
The REASON they take so long, is because they're immensely understaffed-so careful who you choose to slam and complain about, karma s---s and after youre waiting for hours or asked to email your issue or create your own IT ticket-you're going to wish you had that team still! FMC should just close shop all together, Technips going to do it eventually anyway! Sell to Cameron now and maybe some people can integrate into their company meaning SOME jobs could possibly be saved!
IT does a great job considering how many that there are in IT compared to employees! Employees that waste IT's time because they can't remember their password for the tenth time or "how do I do this or that? They have always helped me.
IT is useless always has been. Wait on hold for 45 min to hear I'll turn in a ticket....
this is crazy we have no network team now, where and how in the hell do we support user with a vital team lost like this how supports it. This is just no good that FMC is letting people that have been with the company for ages and helped them get to where they are today go. Just walk right out the door not even trying to rekindle the relationship because they know they are f---ing up. Sorry. Truth hurts!
