I was a general manager in District 93/94 up until last year. I know exactly why the RVP left Staples in the summer of 2015. The RVP that replaced him last year is actually a really good guy, but some of his worthless DM's are a joke. They give no support whatsoever, add expect the world. I know a lot of the times it's unrealistic expectations, trust me I've been given many of them. but I can deal with unrealistic expectations, but I also appreciate it when my RVP talks to me like a person. I will say that he has, but a lot of his misfit district managers need to take a class on proper etiquette and behavior. It really ticked me off, that district managers will take a GM into the office and sit with them for 2 to 3 hours talking about numbers and what not. leave the store and not say a single word to my employees, talk about classless. My employees made my store, if you can't go around just shaking a few of their hands and say thank you. It's Shameful, my employees always felt so disrespected. I still have many GM friends in those districts, nothings really changed in the past year.

Yup, the D94 DM MG is definitely a snake. I know 6 of his remaining I think 14 stores gms are trying to GTFO...They can't stand him.

LOL that is so true, that same district you guys are talking about. I currently work in that district not going to say my position of course. but I have been informed by two sales managers that instead of a diagnostic PC at $159...they just add a iPhone 6 repair at 109.99+ a $50 battery charge...I asked why do you guys do that, they both said they were informed by their general manager that their DM mentioned it to them when the DM did a DM walk. That he doesn't care about easy tech anymore, it's not a money maker. That he wants profit profit profit.

What's really sad about that, is when the employees get questioned by LP. D94 District manager turns the other way like a coward. I have been asked to cheat on more than one occasion, I never did because my numbers were my numbers period. but I always slept good night, no matter how good or bad they were.I kept a voice recording of what I was asked to do in case they ever fired me. luckily I left last year on my own terms. I even contacted a legal advisor just so you can hear me out, he was shocked what they were asking me to do. I never proceeded because I left on my own, but I had enough proof that I could have dismantled the leadership in D94. assuming Staples would've even done anything about it because like you said he is a "golden boy"

D94 dm is a cheater, liar, and a snake. Instructs his gm's to point vibe cameras away from the door for better conversion, take csat surveys for themselves, do tech work and ring it under the liquid armor sku, use two guns for a zero, use coupons for esp, bundle screens and batteries together without telling the customer. This guy is an up and comer who will probably be a big player in the "new" staples. Cheaters prosper at staples. Not sure if r9 rvp knows what his golden boy is up to.

The DM for D94 is a joke, he has given purposely no support to one of his general managers in hopes of firing her. but only if he really knew she's probably one of the most hardest working GM's Staples has, he also might want to keep his his mouth shut and not tell some of his general managers. I'm glad my district manager treats all of us fairly. I thought about coming out to California to possibly transfer, I still might go out there but definitely looking to work for places outside of the company. That's too much drama for this mama.

Most Staples DMs are pretentious idiots that consider store staff to be little more than slaves to make them look good, no matter what the cost. Most have no class and rarely engage associates.

While you may have actually had a good RVP, the vast majority of them are the same, expecting store staff to work 80 hours a week to make them look good, and then sending typo filled threatening emails using poor grammar. VS in region one is the perfect example of this type of corporate asshat.

Hopefully corp. gets desperate or smart, depending on how you look at it, and starts laying off RVPs, starting with VS. SVPs have been cut down to two, some DMs got laid off last Feb. RVPs ranks have not been touched, but it would be relatively easy to do now and consolidate regions.

GET RID of VS before 2017!!!!! He is an abomination!
