Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel is the next Kodak going toward extinction

Stupid leaders and missing each new innovation and business model, busted cost structure and the worst thing incompetent and stupid leaders.

TSMC is the factory builder for tomorrow innovation and today's most important and pervasive devices and will eclipse Intel this coming year and even garage design can be done beating them, LOL

@1gjn - That's right, Intel golden age was during the 90s (the Grove era), maybe early 2000s things were still not that bad. That time is now long gone, however.

I have Sirius XM radio, and amongst their many channels they have ones dedicated to musical decades (50s, 60s, etc.). On these channels they play audio snippets that are relevant to the decade (ex -- the A Team TV show theme on the 80s channel). The other day I heard them play the Intel bong chimes on the 90s station. I think that said a lot without saying a word.

I see Intel commercials on a daily basis. Well, I hear them. I'm usually in another room but always hear the Intel bong after the fact. I tend to watch CNBC financial news is where I'm 'seeing' (hearing) them.

Also, Intel was advertising at the top of myebay page for about a week. I posted about that here when I noticed the Intel logo at the top of the page. When you clicked on it it just took you to a 'Shop now' page with stuff that was everything but tech stuff (clothing, purses, toys, movies, etc.). I found that very odd. It's like they can't even do their freaking advertisements correctly. lol eyeroll

You are correct. Intel is a thing of the past. I don't even see anymore TV commercials about their products since they screwed up delivery schedule for new technology. Yet the TMG management still goes around pretending THEY know what's best. Yeah. We'll see what they do once they get spin-off. TMG certainly has a very high density of incompetent managers who should never have been managers in the first place. Their time will come, and we won't feel sorry for them.
