My team of about 50 people in Colorado Springs lost at least 7 people today. It's still very tight lipped on the total percent, but HR says it's across all departments and all geographical locations. Our team ramped up about 16 month ago for an increase to the number of projects in the pipeline, but over time several of those projects got scrapped for one reason or another.

@JIZUZwO-7fsl... who the f--- is @JIZUZwO-7fif?
Heard 21 ppl got laid off
Sorry for hearing this bad news! How many layoffs are there in San Jose?
Will you say Merry Christmas to the affected or the person in charge?
Looks like JIZUZwO-7fif is working through some issues atm. May like to try some anger-management classes.
That's terrible news, I wish everyone who were affected well and hope you all keep your head up. This is sad news especially when major holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up.
All geographical locations were said to be affected.
Yes, the Data center group previously operating as Avago, LSI, Symbios or something, and NCR in the way olden days.
Is this erstwhile LSI ? DCSG ??
which east coast location?
sorry to guys got affected today, wish good luck in future endeavors
From initial poster: I did not get numbers from the manager or HR, just headcount from the hallway discussions. Needless to say, productivity is down today.
I also noticed that the stock went up $3 before the market opened, but the layoffs started on the east coast right about when the stock market exchange opened. Sounds like something the FCC should look into.
Me too. Manager did not want to tell how many.
