As I’m sure you are all aware, a Hurricane is forecasted to have severe weather impacts all the way from Florida to Delaware through the weekend.
We are here to support our travelers as your travel plans are disrupted due to this storm. Flight cancellations and delays are already happening and could span the course of several days. As stranded travelers try to get home, Travel leaders anticipate distressed airline inventory, heavy call volume and lengthy hold times.
Actively supporting you and your travelers in the following ways:
Adjusting staffing to support the increased call volumes today and through the weekend
Updating hold messaging advising travelers that call wait times are longer than expected
Reviewing airline communication and acting on behalf of your travelers (i.e. utilizing airline change fee waivers)
Continue to monitor weather impacts and will make additional adjustments as needed

Check the weather forecast in both your home city and travel destination
Understand that airplanes may not be in the correct cities, impacting your flight, even if you are not in the storm’s path
Discuss with your manager the need to travel and consider proactive changes for the next several days
Take full advantage of the airline websites to check flight status
