@dwq- we will be "Lying Together" with the corrupt old hag.
Intel has basicly very bad pedigree, it has had way too much in breeding, and the results are obviosly in the over 50 crowd, old, slow, narrow mided, mostly males white, just like the products.
Change never comes from the Inside, it's always external. Before WW 2 George Marshall got rid of 80% of the General officer corps. Brought the new Studs promoted quickly. It will be good for the fat old guys to leave quietly.
Spoke with some guys at higher management level, and the word of the day is "enforced fluctuation". They are trying to let branches they no longer want die out with only the brightest still maintaining what is left of them while bringing in new people to build up new areas.
Want proof? They are actually hiring new people for IoT and automotive in the middle of ACT. Practically no internal recruitment happened for automotive even though they are hiring several hundred people there.
Intel simply has no interest in developing internal people. The Intel development plan is to get rid of low/average performers and to bring in bright people that were developed by other companies. ACT was only the first step in that direction. There are more severance programs coming in 2017. HR is already preparing for it which is one reason why quite a few HR people have left the company recently - they are not willing to support this anymore.
@I up where did u get this, who told you...fatso
The "unproductive people left" at Intel is BK along with his minions, the 300 VP's, and the BOD. All need to go!
New Age Ali Baba, his BOD-y guards and 300 thieves. Haram!?
Time Will Tell
Why don't that unprecedent IDIOT BK just shut down the entire company, get the money and just go to Hell? Intel is just a big tasty pie that all the parasites can feast until nothing left but it's empty shell.
Maybe this particular post is a troll. However, the trends suggest the risk of being let go is substantial. As you get into the 45+ demographic the odds of being let go increase and the odds you can replace or grow your income decrease. Just as your expenses for kids leaving nest and healthcare tend to grow. I saved every cent i could and maxed all retirement plans. Saw this risk developing ten years ago. Now i only work if i choose to. If you dont want to be bent over a barrel you should start preparing in your 20s. If you are fortunate a kind hearted company may give you a little help as they shove you out the door, but dont count on that. Unfortunately unless you work for the state of oregon with insanely generous PERS and a strong union to keep the voters convinced to keep raising taxes ("its for the kids and seniors") companies no longer provide for your retirement. They rarely even keep you until age 55 let alone late 60s that government says is retirement age. BTW dont expect trump or hillary to fix it.
Be smart, prepare yourself financially while you are young!
For those unbelievers... it's already happened this year. It will be under the guise of canceled projects or team downsizing. This is not news. It won't matter if you won any prestigious Intel awards or recently promoted. No one is safe.
This post is BS folks.
So, everyone with 10+ year service will fight for SL2 and will not set for anything less?
@npu- The "unporductive people left" at Intel is BK along with his minions, the 300 VP's, and the BoD. All need to go!
