don't worry, the synergies look really good with this purchase and as soon as the sale is finalized we will be notifying everyone which stores are closing. there are going to be some real cuts in some places, but some stores will be kept open and will take some time to figure out. i'm already refreshing my resume and have started using it. expect a plan soon to keep everyone around for a few months so that the old company still has some value left over
I think they have already had a couple of those that were canceled soon after they started.
There is going to be an increase in the already high turn over rate within the stores.
Yeah but in over-saturated markets, there WILL be stores closing. Will it be the BP or the CAB one though? That process is going to take some time, but I'd bet they already know which ones they'll close and/or combine. Expect to see big Store Closing/Clearance sales around the country within a few months.
Outfitters will be in a better position than corporate staff. Still need people to serve customers. Don't need two sets of systems, two merch, two HR, etc. Cabela's brand continuing does not mean the Cabela's business continuing. Means I can buy a Bass Pro fleece if I want premium and a Cabela's fleece if I want something a little cheaper.
