The irony of it all is that what ARM and TSMC and Samsung did to intel intel did to IBM, Motorola, and company 25 years ago.
The virtuous cycle is unbeatable and try as ibm and others did they couldn't beat intel and the same for Intel, hard for the limited iq San Jose state graduated to comprehend, LOL
Intel current cost structure is not sustainable. Company will need to split in the next couple of years, and go the way of HP, IBM and so many others. If you read the writing on the wall, there are already some signs about this. Moving Stacy to a sort of COO role, placing Murthy in charge of all product development.
End of the day, it is very simple. ARM model of fabless design houses + foundries has won vs. integrated device manufacturers. Some, like Samsung, were quick to adapt to the new order. Intel was not.
Intc pumping pre earnings with raising expectations then missing even with the bs wall street numbers hmmmm reminds me of Lucent in the 2000's, set your stop limits do not ride it if it drops too much. They are now running on ratting fellow employees out rather then who is doing what is needed for growth and prosperity!

I reserve my judgement. It will take a couple of quarters to see if the bounce in PC sales sticks. Intel has been lucky with the timing of this.
