AT&T here. The money for the holiday party is donated by Randal to charity, then AT&T gets a tax write off. The employees get nothing. Employes were never asked about the decision to donate the party money either. AT&T used to be a great place to work. But the constant layoffs and 16 hour days can be a bear.

To be fair with Chase, he did attempt to fix things, but his VP/directors blindsided him for their own benefits. The guy you talked about was not software engineer, he was technician who got promoted just because he kissed a**s his also incompetent director. That incompetent cohort screwed up the whole things back then with HD rolled out. Then, things went downhill since then.

CEO White was hired to sell the company, for they knew DTV could not survive due to these incompetent clowns.
