Do you really think the BOD can approve a sale of the company without consulting the shareholders, especially the major stake holders?
According to that last article posted, Bass Pro has not even made the offer yet (if you can believe it)...and then do you think Cabela's will jump at the first offer? Probably months of negotiations to follow.
What is really sad, really sad is that Tommy and his crew will reap incredible rewards - all of the exec team will as they put that in the contract - this type of fleecing is why unions grew to be so powerful - amazing that they have ben allowed to do this - is not the board supposed to be governing this - what a waste
Absolutely agree this isn't about poor Cabelas this is about Tommy and his gang running the company into the ground, period Tommy - thee Hillary of the outdoor industry
Can't wait to see CAB crash and burn. They brought this on themselves.
They are legally not allowed to comment on this stuff until a deal is done and then it is considered a "material event." don't you think they'd deny it if it wasn't true?............
They are going to announce that the company is sold an there will never be another shareholders' meeting. I wouldn't be surprised if investment bankers working for cabela's are the ones leaking the stories. It always gives the stock price a boost so why wouldn't they?
When they hold a shareholder's meeting and announce that they could be true. Find a new cliche, I'm not thirsty!
When will people start believing these news stories could be true. Quit drinking the Kool-aid Nothing in life is guaranteed including jobs..
Where there is smoke there is usually a fire.
Just more of the same...speculation...by anonymous sources...ehem...
