The scam is not that they are a college and get government money, the scam is that their degrees and classes are worthless. They can't transfer credits, no employer gives them any credibility, they don't seem to be good for getting any jobs in the field they study and the students just get passed through without really needing to know the material or doing college level work product. That is the scam! That is why it should end. Let the other colleges get the students, Everest should not be getting any students, they just saddle them with worthless high debt. However, If it wasn't for the taxpayers ultimately paying these bills, I would have no sympathy for anyone stupid enough to get a worthless degree from Everest with all the information on the internet. But the predator recruiters get the most ignorant, uninformed students that never read the news or know anything and sign them up. The people must protect the imbeciles of the country from being taken advantage of, that is why I believe the government should put a stop to this travesty.

ECMC and Zenith Education is connected to the Clintons through John Podesta. Look up the lobbying group Podesta Group and you can easily connect the dots.
To 7ppu:
They have the entire Democratic party to go through, there are a lot of them imbeciles!
So why does the supply of imbeciles never seem to run out? These scams have been going on for decades, yet the imbeciles keep on showing up and signing up.
Anything connected to Obama or Hillary Clinton is corrupt and usually unethical.
To 3pej: OP1, I hope you're right. The corruption is so ingrained in our politics, it's hard to believe right now.
OP: Have patience. The schools will close, as soon as the student population shrinks to nearly zero to prevent DOE from having to issue much in the way of loan forgiveness. I know many are weary of hearing this, but it is all part of The Plan.....
It's good to see this information about ECMC and politicians coming out into the open. Remember, in 2009, Dave Hawn was an advisor for the Obama Admin's DOE. No collusion there, I'm sure.
That's right which ties ECMC directly to Hillary Clinton. ECMC also donates to the Clinton Foundation which is another case of corruption. It's not hard to figure out who gets the blind eye of the government, just follow the money. If you read the article, the millions ECMC is pouring into Zenith Education Group is tax payer money anyways. ECMC is holding over FIVE BILLION DOLLARS of tax payer cash that the DOE handed them. So what makes Zenith Education Group any better than the for-profit companies in the eyes of the government, the Podesta Group, that's what.
It could be (relatively) soon. But ECMC did pledge $250M to keep the charade going. By doing that, as many people have said, the US government doesn't have to eat the cost of the student loans. A bigger problem may be the issue of creating a precedent of bailing out people (unless those people are banks). That's something DC does not want to do. Don't forget too that ECMC hired Podesta Group, so there are still powerful ties in DC. So the federal funds will continue to come in--at least for now.

I cannot believe the doors are still open. We don't make budget, we lose more students out the back door than what admissions bring in the front door. Directors who are the first ones leaving everyday, students angry and employees unhappy.
For years it was known that CCI, and now Zeneth were perpetuating various crimes. It seems that the government is blind (not) or corrupt. It is all a crime. It is sad that the Feds do nothing and the public keeps taking a beating. It is all Discusting!
Vote for Hillary if you want more of the same!
Yes, and the bank bailout was another Fed scam. We just keep paying and paying more for corruption.
No, the reason Zenith Education should be closed down is this is fraud and corruption on the tax payers committed by the DOE and their partner ECMC. The article explains the reason ECMC is not worried about wasting nearly a half billion dollars on Everest and WyoTech, it isn't their money they are throwing at these schools, it's federal tax dollars. What a bait and switch the government and ECMC pulled on the American tax payers.
