Layoffs are happening on a regular basis in other global locations as well. They get rid of people as soon as they don't think they need them any longer, irrespective of performance etc.

Is it in MC only or also in Digital, Strategy etc? On any level, or only Managers?
The layoff program is called 4 2 2. When you ride the bench for 4 weeks you are notified you are placed on a special job search program for 2 weeks. If still unable to staff you are given 2 weeks notice. Severance includes 2 weeks pay for each year and one month cobra for every two years service. They provide career help to find new position. This is a very exact program and very wee thought out. It is not communicated or talked about.
