Intel had so many product push outs and cancellations in the recent years. Kaby Lake seems to have been executed well from nowhere being on a roadmap to a product launch. Are the design teams sorted now?

Nobody cares about PCs.
Peak PC was in 2011.
It's been falling ever since.
There is literally NOTHING NEW you can do with a Kaby Lake CPU that you could not do with an ancient Nehalem CPU.
Yes, the performance is much better, but software developers have abandoned the PC in favor of mobile. The PC as a platform is a zombie at best and fully dead at worst.
No innovation is happening with Windows - it's the same crap year in and year out.
The last great client product Intel brought to market was sandy bridge . I have not been excited a about any products since then until Kaby lake! It looks like a really good product. Who cares if it's not 10nm !
Kaby is proof that the product teams really can produce products in a short window if they get rid of the red tape in their way. Also, it shows the power of reduced design complexity. A lesson that'll be forgotten in a week.

It's just another Skylake stepping.
Almost no changes compared to Skylake, this was a slam-dunk from the get-go. Would have been really really worried if there was any mis-execution. CPU no change whatsoever, GPU almost no change, except for media and display, although a lot of the logic for 4K HEVC/VP9 was already there on Skylake. There were some rumors about TMG messing up the process tweaks and almost missing the deadlines though (which doesn't surprise me at all).
The business press desperately wants to find good news in any Intel announcement. I just don't see the benefit of being able to run 4K content on a laptop or desktop. The days are long gone for a usage model where the PC is the entertainment hub, and there are already people with embedded solutions for 4K content. It's sad to see Intel get this pathetic.
Tell me is Kaby a new architecture or on a new process node?
Why is there even Kaby, the first time in generations that Intel dos more than two designs on a single process node!
The appearance of Kaby is a sign the wheels have fallen off the car and more and bigger pain is coming in fm the form of layoffs, salary freezes and worse
